I used to think nothing can change my balanced outlook at the world around me. The so called “outlook” that i observe is nothing but accepting the reality as it comes,it helped me to be with peace even with uncertainty in my GEN Y mind.A recent event in my life changed that. On 20.11.19 just before going to sleep, i had started preparing myself for the travel planned for the next day.I had packed everything needed for two day trip. The twist in the tale happened at 2345 hrs, when I had found that the ticket booked for the travel is not on 21.11.19 instead it is 16.11.19.

With utter disappointment over my growing overlooking attitude,I had booked the ticket with hefty monitory loss for the next day.On the day of travel,i had reached the airport just one hour fifteen minutes before the departure (Based on my experience,75 min is sufficient to do web check in at a kiosk and to further complete security check), Unfortunately my travel is with the Baby Boomer the Air India, which is struggling with non operating kiosks and mediocre customer service led to the scenario, where i had to take next flight with the 5 hrs waiting period.

Setting my despair aside, i started to think what it means to baby boomers when it comes to coping up with the losses or helplessness or anxiety. I imagined Common Indian traveler in 1970’s.For him/her,there is no flexibility in travel like us and not many choices as we had now.A train missed was an opportunity lost ,a marriage broken,a last meeting that never happened with one’s they love and so many stories ,I believe some of them still dreaming of those missed moments ,even now as i am writing this.I imagine those people might have stared at the window like me and they might had saw what i saw in that window. The window might had given them solace by projecting the mirages filled with future, which they had missed in thier last journey.

I believe the chaos in ones life is same when everything is happening as expected and also when nothing happening as expected. The pain of boomers may be never understood by XYZ and vice versa because of differences laid out in the world over decades.Nevertheless the generations of humans in future look back and smile at any old generation just like Z laughing at baby boomers with their mimes.the irony of it is same as the Neanderthals laughing at the apes.

To avoid that ,the generations ahead need to take away learning from there past generations. The problems we face like “Exams to Jobs”, “WiFi not working to Relationships not working” “Becoming Business man to Becoming a Hippie”.All these are lesser than being “HOPELESS or HELPLESS”.Our past generations had always tried not to pass their “HELPLESSNESS or HOPELESSNESS” to us.They made us more able than they were and i believe we must strive our future generations to do that.

I will tell you the effect of this event on my outlook about life.We all live the 20’s life believing as it has no end but at one point of time we realize it is going to end in a finite time.It happened to me few days back only,I just started to have this qualms which cannot be addressed by my current outlook and it left me with no peace situation at a times. But this event help me to upgrade my outlook as “Not only accepting the reality as it comes but i must accept my past which happened and future which i am going to build in whatever scenario life throws at me for being in peace.”

So i accept you AIR INDIA.
